Yaesu FT-2980E reviews

Very powerful radio for the money, folks at ARES group recommend this one and it works well.
Not too hard to program, browse, scan.

Unfortunately the WIRES functionality, which is documented in the manual on this "NEW" radio is functionality that was shut down for years! If they discontinue the old WIRES YAESU protocol, at least X that out of the manual so we don't all fiddle with it for an hour or more and waste other's time asking why does the C4FM repeater digital not connect!?

Also, no SSB or other modes, just a plain radio but a good radio.
